Story
Brain cancer kills more children than any other disease, yet the amount of Government funding it receives is woefully inadequate.
I am deeply passionate about raising money for research into childhood brain cancer as my daughter, Bella, was 13 months old when she was diagnosed with a tumour that had taken more than a quarter of her brain.
After beating cancer once, it returned just before she turned 2 and we were told she was terminal. We didn't accept this news though and instead sought out Dr Charlie Teo who operated on Bella and removed her tumour. She is now just about to turn 6!
I want to participate in the Noosa Classic to raise some much needed funds for research but also to raise awareness about the incidence of childhood brain cancer.
The 120km course will definitely be a challenge but when things get tough I will just think of Bella!
